Coordinates is a software library written in Python3 for converting coordinates between different coordinate systems. Supported are the following coordinate systems:

• WGS84 (lat/lon)
• ETRS-TM35FIN (xy)
• KKJ and YKJ (Finnish) (xy and lat/lon)
• ETRS-GKn (xy)
• MGRS

Library also contains functions for calculating distances, bearings and travel in WGS84 coordinate system.

Implementation details and known restrictions

• The KKJ, ETRS-TM35FIN and ETRS-GKn algorithms are implemented by the author according to Finnish JHS 154.
• The KKJ, ETRS-TM35FIN and ETRS-GKn coordinate functions work only with coordinates that are in the area of Finland.
• MGRS conversion functions do not support the polar regions (Antarctic and North pole).
